Wrapping up CCPC's 75th

This year we celebrated the Chester County Planning Commission's 75th anniversary, taking a journey back through CCPC's history by highlighting some of our most memorable moments and accomplishments. Now that the year is coming to an end, we give you: CCPC's 75th WRAPPED.

Over the last 7½ decades, CCPC has achieved a lot! This includes five comprehensive plans (with three versions of Landscapes), three office moves — from basically a closet to the Government Services Center where we are today — six incredible executive directors, and 281 Vision Partnership Program cash grants totaling more than $6.2 million, plus millions in CCPC staff consulting services through approximately 90 in-kind contracts. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Throughout the year, we highlighted many of these projects and people in weekly social media posts. In total, we shared 125 posts across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter(X), and Instagram, covering 31 unique topics. Some posts were factual, like our aerial map comparisons, while others were just plain fun — like our staff "then and now" photos. Altogether, these posts garnered more than 1,300 social reactions. We also capped off the celebration with a special event for staff and partners, debuting two new videos (CCPC's 75th Anniversary Video and CCPC Employees Past & Present), and bringing together many of the people who have shaped CCPC's story.

While our 75th was certainly a celebration, it was a reminder that good planning takes a ton of teamwork and support. We want to thank the many CCPC staff who chased down documents and sifted through 75 years of pictures to create the content that brought these moments to life; the many partners who have worked with us over the decades to bring good planning to our communities; and EVERYONE who has played a role in CCPC's history — from the very beginning up through today.
