All across Chester County many different types of clean and sustainable energy practices can be found in our communities. Whether you're new to clean energy or already incorporate it into your home or workplace (or somewhere in between), the Clean Energy Tour is a great event to attend this upcoming October 1-2!

Organized by Chester County Ready for 100, the Clean Energy Tour of Chester County takes place as part of the American Solar Energy Society's 26th Annual National Solar Tour where hundreds of solar-savvy installers and grassroots organizations will showcase their solar-powered homes, schools, and businesses.

Participants on the tour will get to see real-life examples of how clean energy practices can drastically reduce monthly energy bills and harmful carbon emissions, as well as provide rich tax credits and cash incentives to help improve property values.

"The National Solar Tour demonstrates an array of practical and economical solutions available right here, right now," notes ASES Executive Director, Carly Rixham. "It encourages neighborhood conversations addressing the growing need for clean energy."

The Clean Energy Tour is free and open to the public, taking place virtually on October 1-2 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Chester County Ready for 100 is looking for local residents to share their own Clean Energy systems by taking a three minute video and uploading it by August 15 here: https://www.nationalsolartour.org/resources/.

This virtual tour will cover more than just solar installations. Examples can include residences, municipal buildings, houses of worship, businesses, stores, etc. with:

Outside of the virtual tour there is also an option for your home or business to be a host on the in-person tour. Learn more about the tour, including sponsoring, hosting, or volunteering.
