Get your Community Ready for America's 250th Birthday!
November 2025
The Chester County America250 Commission (CC250), Keep Chester County Beautiful, and other county partners have been hard at work collaborating to provide residents with ways that they can help spruce up their community in the lead-up to the celebration of America's 250th birthday.
As our nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, Chester County invites you to make history right here at home by helping to beautify the places that tell our story. From scenic roadways and cherished parks to waterways and historic landmarks, every cleanup effort helps honor our shared heritage and strengthen community pride.
By adopting a 2-mile section of a road, a park, or a heritage site, you'll join neighbors and local organizations in creating lasting beauty that visitors and residents will enjoy long after the celebration ends. Together, we can take pride in where we live and leave a mark that future generations will appreciate.
It's easy to get involved!

- Choose a road, park, or historic site from our suggested list or another road or area in your community that needs attention for 250 celebrations and beyond. Check our webpage soon for Keep Chester County Beautiful's list of suggested road segments and sites!
- Adopt the road or area through PennDOT or Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful — See how to apply to PennDOT's and KPB's road and area adoption programs.

Don't see your site on the list? Send an email to sustainability@chesco.org and we can help you add it!
Acts of service and community pride are central to the principles upon which our country was founded. Joining with like-minded friends and neighbors to beautify our communities will bring us together to make Chester County shine for the 250th.
